Last Saturday, Graham Stevenson, who played an active part in the life of St Francis Church from 2010-2013, got ordained at St Paul’s Cathedral. A group from St Francis attended to support him as he was blessed by the Bishop of London, Richard Chartres.
Graham was training at St Mellitus College whilst working at St Francis Church and will now start a curacy at St Thomas’ Stamford Hill working with Fr Williams Campbell Taylor. In his deacon year he will be primarily at St Thomas’ and then when priested will be more involved at St Matthew’s Upper Clapton (the neighbouring parish where William is also in charge).
Ultimately, Graham will be hoping to both develop the current life at St Matthew’s and to help start something new alongside.
We wish Graham every blessing as he takes this step and also as he shares parenting responsibilities with his wife, for their new baby daughter.
